                                            Yunfeng Liang, male, born in 1972, selected for National “Thousand Talents Program”. Leader of “Core Transport and Stability Studies in Advanced Tokamak Plasmas ” project funded by National Magnetic Confinement Fusion Science Program. Leader of “Core Physics and ELM control” task force on EAST tokamak at ASIPP. Senior Scientist, Head of Helmholtz-University Young Investigators Group, Inst. fuer Plasmaphysik, Forschungszentrum Juelich GmbH, and Professor, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Germany. Main research interests are plasma equilibrium, transport and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) stability and plasma wall interaction in magnetically confined plasmas. 

  In 2000, Dr. Liang obtained his PhD degree from Dep. Fusion Science, The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Japan.  Dr. Liang then worked on various aspects of plasma physics on 10 different devices (HT6M, HT7, TEXTOR, MAST, AUG, EAST and JET tokamaks, CHS and LHD and W7-X Stellarators) and international teams in 4 different countries (China, Japan, Germany, U.K.).  In 2007, Dr. Liang obtained the Helmholtz-University funded award, which comprises a funding of personnel for a group over up to six years. Since 2008, Dr. Liang is a scientific coordinator of the project PEP25 of the International Tokamak Physics Activity (ITPA), several prioritized projects funded by the European Fusion Development Agreement (EFDA), international collaboration projects funded by Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft (HGF) and Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). Also, Dr. Liang is the leading scientist of the task “ELM control with magnetic perturbations” on JET, the world largest fusion energy research facility. 

  The impact of Dr. Liang’s scientific achievement on plasma physics is supported by more than 35 invited talks in international conferences and workshop (IAEA, EPS, PSI, ITC …) and more than 110 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals with the total of >1500 citations (based on the result from ISI). These publications include 14 papers published in Phys. Rev. Lett. (One has more than 200 citations to date).

  2000年博士毕业于日本文部省大院大核融合研究专业2007 年,作13 杰出青年科家之一,荣获亥姆霍兹学会青年科家研究基金。2007-2014年,德Helmholtz学会及大青年科研开发组组长。自2008年以来,负责国际托卡克物理研究(ITPA)PEP25领导研究基金(DFG)目,共体聚研究目(EFDA),及德亥姆赫兹学会与中院,中基金委的合作目。同,也是目前世界最大磁约束聚变装置JET上,扰动控制ELM研究目的首席。 

  截至目前,已在多个国际重要会议上受邀报告超过35次,已在SCI 录国际核心专业期刊上表科研110多篇,他引次1500 次,篇最高引用超200次,其中14 表在Phys. Rev. Lett.上。
